Electron correlation effects in the exchange coupling at the Fe/CoO/Ag(001) ferro-/antiferro-magnetic interface

چکیده

Angle resolved-Auger photoelectron coincidence spectroscopy (AR-APECS) has been exploited to investigate the role that electron correlation plays in exchange-coupling at ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic interface of a Fe/CoO bilayer grown on Ag(001). The effective energy Ueff, usually employed assess distribution core-valence-valence Auger spectra, experimentally determined for each possible combination orbital (eg or t2g) and spin (majority minority) two valence electrons involved decay. Coulomb exchange interactions have identified compared with result obtained Fe/Ag system. presented analysis reveals an enhancement interaction eg t2g respect case, can be associated stronger confinement coupling between layers, respectively.

Surface ferro (or antiferro) magnetism in bulk antiferro (or ferro) magnets : renormalization group analysis

2014 The renormalization group techniques are applied, for the first time, to surface magnetism in bulk magnets, for all signs of surface and bulk coupling constants. The q-state Potts model is specifically focused upon, and an interesting q-evolution of the phase diagram is exhibited. In particular the Ising model (q = 2) presents a remarkable feature in the case of competing bulk-and surface ...

Large electron-phonon coupling at an interface.

The strength of electron-phonon coupling in atomically uniform films of Ag on Fe is determined by angle-resolved photoemission from quantum well states in these films over a wide temperature range. As the film thickness is reduced, contributions from the surface and interface should become more important, and, experimentally, a large enhancement with superimposed quantum oscillations is observe...
